To provide our language learning features based on your personal photos, we collect and process the following data:

a. Personal Information (Account Data)

  • Email Address: We collect your email address to create and manage your account, allow you to log in, and assist with password recovery.
  • Password: Your password is encrypted and stored securely. We do not have access to your password in plain text.

b. User Content (Photos & Camera)

  • Images: We collect the specific images that you explicitly choose to upload or capture via the camera within the app.
  • Access Permission: To function, the app requires access to your device's Photo Library or Camera.
Note: We do not scan or access your entire photo library. We only process the specific images you select for the purpose of learning vocabulary.

c. Usage Data

We may collect anonymous data regarding app performance and usage patterns (e.g., number of words learned) to improve the user experience.

How We Use Your Information

  1. Image Analysis (Core Functionality): The photos you upload are processed to identify objects, scenes, or context. This analysis is used to generate relevant vocabulary and descriptions for your learning.
  2. Personalized Learning: To store your learning history and the "memories" (photos) associated with new vocabulary so you can review them later.
  3. Authentication: To manage your registration, login, and account security.
  4. App Improvement: To fix bugs and enhance the functionality of the application.

Disclosure of Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

However, we may share data with third-party service providers necessary to operate the app:

  • AI & Image Analysis Providers: We utilize third-party AI services (API) to analyze the content of your uploaded photos and generate vocabulary. Your images are sent to these providers solely for the purpose of analysis.
  • Cloud Storage & Hosting: We use trusted cloud service providers to securely store your account data and uploaded images.

Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures (such as SSL/TLS encryption) to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable.

Your Rights and Account Deletion

  • Access & Review: You can view your uploaded photos and learned vocabulary within the app.
  • Delete Account: You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time via the App Settings.
  • Consequence of Deletion: Upon your request, your account, email, and all uploaded images will be permanently removed from our servers and cannot be recovered.

Children's Privacy

Our application is not intended for children under the age of 12. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date of this policy.
